Ajith Kumar or Thala Ajith is one of the biggest stars in the Kollywood industry. The actor is active in the industry for more than 30yrs and still delivering blockbuster hit movies. His recent venture Thunivu's success is proof that the actor still has a grasp on the moviegoers.

The actor has worked in around 60 movies to date which shows his consistency. He has been winning hearts ever since he entered the industry. 

Ajith started his career in 1993 with a small role in the film Veedu En Kanavar. His full-fledged debut came in 1993 with Amaravathi as a solo lead. However, his breakthrough movie was Aasai in 1995 which won him critical acclaim.

It was his 2001 action movie Dheena which earned him the nickname Thala. Ajith featuring the 2019 action drama movie Viswasam was the highest-grossing movie in Tamilnadu until Kamal Hassan starrer 'Vikram' (2022) surpassed its lifetime biz. 

In his three decades of career 'Ajith' has done only one Telugu film, Prema Pusthakam, which had come in 1993. The actor made his Hindi debut in 2001 in the movie Asoka led by Shah Rukh Khan.
