The upcoming American horror movie, The Exorcist: Believer, is set to release worldwide soon. The film is the direct sequel of the 1973, 'The Exorcist' which had changed the culture and shattered all the box office records.

The Exorcist was the first film to be nominated for the Best Picture category in the Academy Awards as well as nine others. Opened with 30 screens in 24 theatres, the film saw a huge surge in footfalls due to word of mouth forcing the Warner studio for a wide release of the film. 

It eventually became the 9th highest-grossing movie ever in US & Canada and the studio's highest-grossing movie ever, at that time.

Now, the trailer of the upcoming movie in the franchise was dropped on 25 July announcing the release date of the movie. 

In the trailer, the makers announced that the horror film will be released on Oct 13. However, as per the latest reports, the release date of the movie has been pre-poned to Oct 6 due to Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour.

Talking about the India release date of The Exorcist: Believer, it will be released in India on the same day as the U.S., Oct 6, in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu.
