Tamil industry is all set to witness yet another box office shatterer in the form of Thalapathy starrer Leo. Recently Thalaivar Rajini's Jailer crossed the 600 Cr milestone at the box office. 

Now, it is Leo's turn to continue this rampage at the box office. Vijay's last release Varisu earned around 300 Cr at the box office and emerged superhit. 

Now Leo which has already started to break the records, is expected to do wonders at the BO. 

Leo Pre-Release Business & Budget

The hype for Vijay's film is such that it became the highest grosser for day 1 at the box office UK before hitting the theatres. And it is more than two weeks ahead of the film hitting the cinemas. 

Not only this, but the Leo has earned a whopping 400-450 Cr, reportedly, from the pre-release business against its 250-300 Cr budget

Tamil Theatrical Rights: Rs 80- 90 Cr

Telugu Theatrical Rights: Rs 21-22 Cr (Highest for Vijay)

Overseas Rights: Rs 60 Cr

Audio Rights to Sony: Rs 16 Cr

OTT Rights to Netflix: Rs 120-125 Cr

Satellite Rights to Sun TV: Rs 100 Cr

Leo Screen Counts

Leo is expected to be released in between 4000-5000 screens worldwide including Tamilnadu around 800 screens.

Leo Box Office Prediction

Vijay's film is releasing on a grand scale, and the buzz surrounding the movie is also sky-high. There is no doubt that a bumper opening is on the cards. However, it is to be seen whether it will get past Rajini's Jailer 56.6 Cr day 1 earnings to become the highest-grossing day 1 for a Tamil film in 2023. 

The day 1 Tn business would be in the range of 23-25 Cr gross. The Tamil version collections could go upwards of 35 Cr nett in India.
