Sushant Sareen is an Indian journalist, editor, author and analyst of Pakistani affairs and terrorism. He often appears in the YouTube podcasts, Litfest, TV and radio networks. And has a huge following on Twitter.
He is a senior fellow at ORF (Observer Research Foundation), an independent think tank based in Delhi, India wherein he has written several monographs including Balochistan: Forgotten War, Forsaken People (Monograph, 2017), Corridor Calculus: China-Pakistan Economic Corridor & China’s comprador model of investment in Pakistan (Monograph, 2016), Zarb-e-Azab: An evaluation of Pakistan Army’s anti-Taliban operations in North Waziristan (Monograph, 2015)

Sushant worked in the Indian Railway Traffic Service for a year. Then he joined Public Opinion Trends, a news agency in 1994. He has served the Pakistan Centre, 2002-2004, at ORF as the Honorary Director. From 2010 to 2017, he was a senior fellow at Vivekananda Intl. Foundation, New Delhi. He was a consultant, for the Pakistan Project, at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, New Delhi.
He is a co-founder of the South Asian Free Media Association where he served as the Associate Editor and later General Secretary.

Sushant has written a book titled The Jihad Factory: Pakistan's Islamic Revolution in the Meaking which was released in Aug 2005.
The book revolves around the jihad waged by Pakistan in India. It also presents the picture of jihadi activism and infrastructure inside Pakistan and POK. Based on several Pakistani news stories, books and reports.
