Santhanam's latest comedy flick 80s Buildup was released in cinemas on 24 Nov 2023. It was opened to negative response from both the critics and the cinephiles. 

The film is directed and written by Kalyaan and backed by K.E Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green. It is headlined by Santhanam and Radhika Preethi.

With the negative response pouring in, we can expect the digital debut of the movie soon. Talking about the OTT partner of the movie, Amazon Prime Video has bought the digital rights of 80s Buildup.

The movie is expected to be released on the digital platform 4 weeks post-theatrical release.

Santhanam's film has shown a drop over the weekend. The film opened with 1.05 Cr, and it showed a drop on day 2 minting 1 Cr. It further went on the show a little dip on Sunday to collect 95Lakhs for a total weekend haul of 3 Cr nett.
