Telugu's first superhero movie, Hanuman or Hanu Man, is set to roar in the cinemas this Sankranti. The film garnered huge praise for its VFX, when its teaser was released, which prompted makers to increase its budget on the same. 

As per the director, Prashanth Verma, the film has 1600 Vfx shots. It is a socio-fantasy film that revolves around an underdog who turns into a superhero with the blessings of Lord Hanuman.

The official figures aren't out but it is said that Hanuman is made on a budget of 25-30 Cr. Earlier, the budget of the film was being quoted as 12 crores. Post VFX it has gone up to more than double. 

Hanuman Pre-release Business

As per Track Tollywood, in the 6 territories of the Andhra region, the distributors have quoted 10 Cr for the rights to the movie which is impressive for a middle-budget flick. 

The non-theatrical rights, satellite & digital, of the movie have been sold for an impressive 16 Crs. 

Hanuman Movie Screen Counts

Hanuman is expected to be released in 400-500 theatres in the Telugu states. The theatre counts might increase per the demand from the public after the release.

The digital rights of the movie are bought by Zee5. It will debut on the OTT after some weeks of hitting the cinemas. 

Hanuman Box Office Prediction

The biggest threat to the movie is Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram which is being released on the same day. However, if the content of the film is good it will eventually pick up the pace. 

The film has created a good buzz, on the Bookmyshow, it has over 46K people interested. And will increase once the trailer is out. From here, it is expected to earn around Rs 5-8 Cr on its first day.
