Privacy policy

This page explains what data the talksen.com website collects, why, and how to exercise your rights. It covers the website; the TALKSEN app will have its own policy at launch.

The waiting list

  • Data collected: your email address, the page you signed up from, the language of the site, and the dates of sign-up and confirmation.
  • Purpose: to tell you when TALKSEN launches and, if you wish, to invite you to try the app early.
  • Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form and then confirming your address through the link sent by email.
  • Retention: until you unsubscribe, and no later than three years after your last contact with us. An unconfirmed sign-up is deleted after 30 days.
  • Recipients: Graphicomm and its processor O2SWITCH (hosting). Your data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties.
  • Hosting: in France, with O2SWITCH (Clermont-Ferrand).

The contact form

  • Data collected: your first name, last name, email address, your company if you provide it, and the subject and content of your message.
  • Purpose: to reply to you and follow up on your request.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us.
  • Retention: your message arrives in our mailbox and is kept there while we handle your request and any follow-up, for no more than three years after our last exchange. It is not stored in any other database.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. Your choice about audience measurement is simply remembered in your browser (local storage) so we do not ask you on every page; we ask again after six months. The fonts are hosted on our own servers: no data is sent to any third party when you visit.

Audience measurement

  • Tool: Matomo, installed on our own hosting in France (O2SWITCH). No data is sent to Matomo’s publisher or to any third party, apart from our hosting provider O2SWITCH, which acts as our processor.
  • Data: pages viewed, referring site or search engine, device type, browser, country. IP addresses are anonymised (last two bytes masked) and no cookies are used.
  • Purpose: understanding how the site is used in order to improve it. The data is never used for advertising or profiling.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest; this set-up meets the consent exemption for audience measurement defined by the French data protection authority (CNIL). You can still refuse it at any time.
  • Retention: 25 months at most.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, request its portability or withdraw your consent at any time: through the unsubscribe link in every email, or by writing to contact@talksen.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
