How the conversation works

Sentence by sentence

TALKSEN waits for the end of your sentence and translates all of it, then the other person hears it about a second and a half later, in a natural voice. That is what we measured between two phones.

Does the other person need to speak English?

No. They speak Spanish, you speak English, and each of you hears the other in your own language.

Do I need to install an app to speak Spanish?

You do. The other person does not: they scan your QR code and the conversation opens in their browser.

How reliable is the Spanish translation?

It suits everyday exchanges: short sentences, practical questions. The text stays on screen so you can check, and if a sentence may have been misunderstood, a “?” prompts you to repeat it. Add proper names to your vocabulary.
